BOOKS ON FRESHWATER FISHING
Only well sought after books will be considered for inclusion in the auction at the discretion of the organisers. Please contact Don or Cameron about this.
A few sets / bundles of the better books from the Club library will be auctioned. Other books from the Club library will be offered for a gold coin donation. Any other books on freshwater fishing that members wish to donate can be brought to the auction. Members will be able to place their books on a ‘gold coin donation table’ from 6.00pm on the auction night.

CONDITIONS OF SALE
If selling on behalf of yourself or others, Commission to the club will be 15% of sale value.
If you are donating items to the club there will be no commission.
NB. Please make it clear to Cameron if you are selling on commission (15%) or donating your items to the club.If you know of any non-members who have fishing gear to sell we will accept their items on the same conditions
Flycasting / River Skills Clinic 2
Make sure you bring waders or suitable wading attire. This session involves wading into the river … which will be cold.

All members who attend this meeting, and have paid their Annual Club Subscription, will be in the draw to receive the value of their 2026-27 F&G Trout Fishing Licence. The draw will take place prior to the talk from our guest speaker.

Members will be encouraged to work on expanding their skills. However, if you would just prefer to come along and tie your own creations, that’s all good too!
* Bring your vice, lamp, fly-tying tools, hooks, wire and threads.
* The club has some equipment for those who don’t have their own.
* Specialist materials needed for demo flies will be provided.

Following on from the great turn-out to our recent introductory fly-tying evening, THE CLUB is running a further FIVE Thursday fly-tying sessions, for budding and experienced fly-tiers to learn more techniques and tie a range of useful trout flies.
Start time 7pm … at Club Waimea (in the Richmond Room). 345 Queen Street, Richmond, Nelson
Any club member interested in fly-tying is welcome to come along. There will be a demonstration of a different pattern involving new techniques each evening. Members will be encouraged to work on expanding their skills. However, if you would just prefer to come along and tie your own creations, that’s all good too!
