Tip of the month
Pre-loading fly threaders involves stacking multiple (small sized) flies onto a wire tool and storing them 'standby' in your fly box.
You can prepare at home. Push the wire loop through the eye of a fly and stack them on a threader. It speeds op rigging or changing flies at the water. It's as easy as passing your tippet through the wire loop, then pull the fly off the threader and onto your leader. Tie a knot as usual and you're ready.
This prevents frustration when changing flies with poor vision, cold weather or in windy conditions.
